Ah yes. They see children as just more free/cheap labor to replace immigrant labor. The PEOPLE in this country are addicted to not paying people a fair rate for labor because the cost of an apple might go up a penny (it'll go up in price anyway - the owners will just pocket the money, instead).

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service. “Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.
