I’m not particularly well-versed in #yugioh Rush Duel, but the Maximum mechanic always seemed like the coolest thing it did differently from the OCG. It also results in some HILARIOUS designs. Look at this- they tried to do Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and assembled him wrong.

Watching GQuuuuuuX -The Beginning- for the second time to dee what I missed. The first part, for all its “Shin Gundam” vibes, diverges pretty heavily from 0079, from the very beginning. It also does a lot for one-off Zeon characters, while mostly keeping their old designs. EXCEPT CHALLIA BULL.

On my way to Toyfair. It’s funny how much I always enjoy going — it’s a perfect show to just walk the floor and see what people are making. Entertaining kids and adults is an industry that’s always changing, so every year feels very different, even if the same brands are spotlighted.

I’m a fan of TCGs in general. Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, the various Bandai games. I’ve played them all. Most recently, I got to try out the new Gundam TCG, and it was fun! I still prefer Battle Spirits Saga (RIP), but there’s some sauce. Also, I got this! Do you think Charszaku evolves from Charizard…?

A lot of what I've done for my professional career is tied to Ultraman, and I'm proud of that, but I have a lot of media loves that have helped define me. The most important of them by far? Murder She Wrote. Jessica Fletcher is the most important woman in fiction and I will die on that hill.
