Does anyone remember that remote work/coworking-ish macOS app from 2014 or so that would take your picture a few times a day and share it in a grid of photos from your teammates? I remember using it but I can't remember what it was called...

The new Raycast for iOS app looks pretty, but unfortunately, I use zero of these things on Raycast for macOS and I don't intend on using them on iOS either.

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me

That @danabra.mov does it again overreacted.io/jsx-over-the... My favorite part:

ChatGPT images are already have a recognizable art style, and they make the author look more like slop than the image itself. Adding an image to your social media post is nice, but it make the author look like they’re clout-farming rather than genuinely illustrating an idea.

we live in the dumbest timeline possible.

I know people want to get angry that people are angry about stonks and not I dunno all the authoritarianism and civil liberties crushing but this is actually really bad and will hurt an unfathomable amount of people somewhere in the vicinity of everyone everywhere all at once.

This seems uh…. not good.

welp. maybe next year...

My mouse conked out today, and all I could think about is "man, I wish I could get a drone to deliver a replacement one" @mkbhd.com www.youtube.com/watch?v=88yQ...

Is Krisp (krisp.ai) still the best tool to remove background noise from your mic on macOS?

Tools that add themselves to zshrc/bashrc automatically without user interaction deserve a special place in hell.

After 5.5 years, today is my last day at GitHub. ✌️

Refreshing to see more startups building AI coding tools NOT have ye mission of replacing software engineers with an “AI engineer” (looking at eg Devin, Magic .dev, and recent Meta). But build tools that make engineers more efficient! Sourcegraph a great example of the latter:

Remember when people bought new graphics cards to show polygons on screens? I miss those times.

I've always enjoyed Stratechery, and this might be the best tl;dr yet stratechery.com/2025/deepsee...

I used GitHub Codespaces with Zed and Ghostty today and boy, did it feel great to not be in VS Code. `gh cs ssh` did most of the config for me and I was off to the races!

Finally deleted my Twitter account today, something I've been meaning to get around to over the last couple of years. I'm no longer tolerant of having a presence on that hellhole of a site run by the scum of the earth, even if my account was dormant there.

I set up Ghostty today and after only a couple of hours of using it for work, I'm quite impressed. I've tried Kitty, Alacritty, Hyper and a slew of others, but have always fallen back to iTerm. This might be the first terminal emulator that unseats iTerm! ghostty.org Kudos to mitchellh and crew! 👏

This ad is incredible and I barely played Fortnite. So much nostalgia. youtu.be/kUefUxDWCjs?...

how do you all remember every UUID? I find it really hard. so I wrote them all down on every uuid dot com the list has fast search across all 2^122 values (so you can find your favorites) - hoping to add some social features like "trending UUIDs" soon!

Is there a way to invoke a test for a _specific argument_ with Swift Testing via `swift test`? Xcode exposes this within the UI, but reading through the source code for swift-testing, I still don't see any ways to invoke a test for a specific argument via the CLI.

Made a lil starter pack for the team go.bsky.app/HyNVFFA

Brought over years of tweets to Bluesky thanks to @marcomaroni.it's github.com/marcomaroni-...! Nice to have a home for those old posts. 💖
