So, this is a long shot, but: does anyone know of any eighteenth-century drawings done by a "Lieutenant Paterson" of the temples in Madurai (Madura), south India? I think this is probably the soldier and naturalist William Paterson (1755-1810), so should date sometime from 1781-85
