Octavia Butler was a black female science fiction writer who won several awards for her works, including Hugo, Locus, and Nebula awards. In 1995, Butler became the first science-fiction writer to receive a MacArthur Fellowship.

White people saying that the halftime show was racist is a perfect example of why CRT needs to be taught. A performance that isn’t centered around you is not oppression. Ironically their reaction proves that representation does matter to them, just not when it’s someone else being represented.
