Final on the Pelican Nebula. This is ~6.5 hours of light collection, over 3 nights. I’ve hit diminishing returns and I’m not seeing any additional detail pulled out with more subs. I think this is the best I can do with my equipment in my location. #Astrophotography #Astronomy #SeeStar #SeeStarS50

Whirlpool galaxy, M51, from my back yard (Bortle 5). 646 subs @ 10 seconds each. 1 hour, 47 minutes total exposure time. Stacked and denoised on-device with ZWO's #SeeStar #S50 #Astrophotography #Astronomy #SeeStarS50

The Pelican Nebula (IC 5070), 1,800 light-years away, is a star-forming region shaped by stellar winds and glowing gas—captured with the SeeStar S50. 1261 subs taken over 2 nights for roughly 3.5 hrs exposure time. #PelicanNebula #IC5070 #Astrophotography #SeeStar #SeeStarS50 #Astronomy

Was on travel all week. Lap cat seems very happy I’m home. 🐈‍⬛

SEA ✈️ MCO!

Vacay for the next week! ✌️ 🏖️ 🍹 🌞 🛳️

Still from near total eclipse from last night. #astronomy #astrophotography #lunareclipse #moon

Very very jittery, thanks to the scope’s tracking fighting clouds all evening, but this was my 3ish hour Timelapse of last night’s blood moon lunar eclipse! Still learning… #astronomy #astrophotography #lunareclipse #moon #seestsar #seestars50

Lap cat says it’s time for me to be done working.

imagine a baby named larry you can’t it is impossible

The Leo Triplet—three stunning spiral galaxies ~35M light-years away—dance in the cosmos. M65, M66, & NGC 3628 showcase galactic beauty and interaction in deep space. A trio worth gazing at! #Astronomy #LeoTriplet #Space #astrophotography #seestar #seestars50

Had a good night with the SeeStar S50 last night. Horsehead/flame, whirlpool, and monkey head. I tried a larger mosaic of horsehead/flame, but I started too late and didn’t get enough good subs. Processed on-device itself (stacking+denoising) and lightly in Lightroom. #astronomy #astrophotography

The Pinwheel Galaxy (M101) is a stunning face-on spiral ~21M light-years away in Ursa Major. Its swirling arms are packed with young blue stars and star-forming regions. A true cosmic masterpiece! #Astronomy #Space #Astrophotography

The Andromeda Galaxy (M31) is our nearest spiral neighbor, about 2.5 million LYs away. It’s the largest in our local group and is on a slow collision course with our Milky Way, set to merge in roughly 4.5B years. #Space #Astronomy #Andromeda #Astrophotography

🌌 Processed image from last night’s SeeStar S50 session. Messier 42, the Orion Nebula. One of the brightest star-forming regions in the night sky. ~1,350 LYs from Earth, this cosmic nursery is home to young, hot stars that illuminate its swirling clouds of gas and dust. 🔭✨ #Astrophotography

First light with the new SeeStar S50! I know I know, it’s just Orion’s Nebula but this is with light pollution and partial cloud cover. Impressive little device!

Me, while trying to read a book: … 6yo: dad, are whirlpools real? 8yo: dad, fun fact, sharks have to keep swimming to breathe 6yo: dad, did you know every snowflake is different? Like, EVERY SINGLE ONE 8yo: (holding up an origami creation) dad, watch me turn this square into a heart 6yo: dad…
