The Universal Credit system is totally unsuitable for authors - and indeed, the majority of self-employed freelancers. To be viewed as 'gainfully self-employed' there has to be a regular monthly income above a certain amount, ignoring the advance chunks/ad hoc events payments. Indeed, when... 1/2
