If a leader is blaming people with less power then they have, they are giving those people the shame in themselves that they are too weak to tolerate.

We have innate, built-in morality coded into our nervous system to promote pro-social behavior that happens without any instruction in "morality." Tiny infants will give a toy to another crying infant and small children will share their food with a hungry child. It's a survival mechanism.

Needing to fit in comes from the developmental stage of a teenager. As adults we often feel we have to give up our uniqueness in order to fit in, but in the process we cancel our unique gifts. It's great to have a supportive community, but if you can't be yourself, who are they really supporting?
