My new post on Substack! This is the Home of the Intolerant Left: TikTok's New Censorship open.substack.com/pub/jennifer...

My nearly 19 year old cat has decided suddenly that she likes giving me face kisses. What’s up with that?

I didn't think I was going to publish again so soon, but this one hit really close to me. Please read. These immigration raids are about more than sending undocumented folk back to wherever the f*ck they're from.... open.substack.com/pub/jennifer...

Friends, I’m examining my grocery habits to he more aligned with my values. Is Lunds & Byerly’s an ethical company? They are across the street from me.

What do you do after you do six loads of laundry and make vanilla extract? You notice your bananas need to be made into banana bread. No waste from now on!

I wrote an essay about stocking your pantry for resilience. open.substack.com/pub/jennifer...

I keep wondering if people don’t realize that the Nazi salute was literally the “Roman” salute. Or am a victim of the Mandela Effect.

A journalist at a well-known media institution asked over on Threads why people like Threads (genuine curiosity, not snark), and the number of people replying saying they don’t like the BlueSky algorithm is… we’re screwed. Fair if you like an algorithm, but if you can’t tell when one is in use?

I'm sharing this as encouragement for y'all: I just hosted about a dozen people in my close community for discussion on current events & El*ction safety etc. We opened up acknowledgement of p*litical realities & began considering safety concerns/plans. We were honest about our emotional statuses.

Epic capture ….Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona ✨👏✨😎✨

The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Eleanor Rigby says hang in there everyone. In the end, kindness, intelligence and cool heads always prevail.

I don’t know what’s more surprising. That Matt Gaetz has been nominated to be Attorney General, or finding out for the first time that Gaetz graduated from law school.

I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to change out of my pajamas today. Alas… I need food and the food is located outside my cocoon.
