(FPH was awful and I agree with the need to moderate things like that. But, the before/after of the front page was very clearly different, and Reddit was never again as good of a breaking news source afterwards.)

Twitter's algorithm underwent immediate revision after the Arab Spring. After FPH, Reddit's front page algorithm underwent revision. Etc. Almost none of the networks want to be the conduit of the zeitgeist; they want to offer control of the zeitgeist to advertisers and other clients.

Is there a cargo plugin that goes through your codebase and lints on any visibility qualifier that could be shrinked in scope? 🤔 That is if there is some definition `pub(crate) thing` but that is only ever used in the module itself I want something that tells me, "This `pub(crate)` can be omitted"
