Finished Somadina by Akwaeke Emezi. Lotta beautiful moments and ideas in this book by one of my faves. Pacing felt rushed, and I think I would have really enjoyed if this world could be a 500+ page epic. But in that is a compliment: there's so much potential that I'd love more! ❤️

Tbh, the P.U.N.K. cards have too many weird restrictions on them to be as powerful as they need to compete right now. Why can't Ogre add the extenders? Why does the new Xyz detach both to draw and negate, forcing a choice between the two in combo even though it has the negate restriction already?
