I'm more concerned about people who can't tell the difference than the tools themselves.

I feel like not enough people have watched Astrix and Obelix: The Big Fight on Netflix (6 episodes). The Avengers memes alone...

Being a practical application of emerging tech as a vocation I have a lot of subreddits I'm on too. There is obviously an Artificial Intelligence one but today I saw it has gone full 'Cult of Mac' The post read 'I don't like how people say LLMs outputs are predictions. That is EXACTLY how they work

Wait a second. Everyone shut up... What if. What if Mike Mike Wazowski has a twin sibling who blinks at the same time.

Hog Toot is an anagram of Hot To Go. #TheMoreYouKnow

Yesterday on the way home under every wattle it was absolutely covered like yellow snow. Flocks of rainbow lorikeet had been going from each one absolutely covering the ground below. It's very likely that no one outside of Australia (possibly even Qld) will understand this post

I feel like GCP greatly embellishes how much budget someone will set on a single hosted cloud service

This was very much about testing the capability of what I used to make this not about what I made... But here is a stupid thing that lets you read some ebooks one word at a time. If you want to know how fast you can really read. studio--estrder.us-central1.hosted.app

I only get to say this once every few decades.... ... If he is any good he will be back in 3 days

This is how I think it went... *Watches Galaxy Quest* *Slides into the rocket team DMs* "I just had this original idea, should send celebrities into space..."

Google is SUPER optimistic about how long Ill need the access keys to google docs for my assistant bot

TILSYHTT (today I learnt so you have to too) that while in Australia we haven't had TAB since the 80s, the Coca-Cola Company officially stopped making Tab in October 2020.

You know... It would have solved a lot of problems if the Americans only put insane tariffs on podcasting equipment.

Waiting in line to get some comics signed by this guy... I don't know @gailsimone.bsky.social have you heard of him?

'Its pong, but a roguelike' would slap

*considers going to Supanova GC this weekend to get some @tomtaylormade.bsky.social books signed and doing a bsky post about it as a heads-up before seeing if he is using the comic con book stand I made him* ... Nah, I'll surprise him (Almost one of a kind after what happened to the prototype)

Because emerging tech is one of my things I have to play with new tech and understand how it works, limits, etc for future reference. I spent the last week'ish building out something that converts my social media into data for fine tuning a LLM to sound like me. I may have nailed it.

I get to go to review/preview sessions for films, I write spoiler free reviews of movies. So I have an intense dislike for critics who I hear deciding they are going to give a movie a bad review before watching it. So I felt compelled to memesplain what is happening with Them/Minecraft on TikTok

I wonder if the absolute decimation of overseas tourism to the US might force @disneyworld.bsky.social to lock in Gold Coast/Australia Disneyland in the next 4 years.

This isn't mine but @tomtaylormade.bsky.social someone on Twitter worked out their made up tariff numbers might have come from a bad ChatGPT answer (not even the right values to use). As I understand the limits of this stuff on a technical level... Face palm is an understatement if true.

If you ever needed confirmation that 99% of AI news influencers put out a lot of wank.... Outside of most things that the name brands put out is 10 months to a year behind what is available in open source...

If you live in Brisbane the largest Free Play (as in you pay once to get in and then all the machines are set to free play mode that do not need coins) Arcade in the Southern Hemisphere is closing on May 4th. So you should make time to go to and take friends, family, future gamers, there now
