And just to drive that point about the godawful RF image home - imagine how much nicer that picture would've turned out if I didn't fuck it up with "Well, there's a vertical line there, surely it's the correct one and not the one literally 2m away from me" fucking hell. Yes, skill issue, but still.

Oh shit it's #crappycommiecameraparty so have this glamor shot of a crappy commie camera along with one of the few pictures where I didn't fuck up the focus thanks to the tiny ass RF image. I think that was Ilford FP4+ film

Guess I'm screwed (also: digital ticket lol, that's going to be fun)

Hour 2 after taking The Wrongest Train Ever™: I won't starve, as long as I can blend in with the townspeople

it gives me no pleasure to award this W

It's summer, bitches!

Oh s(h)ure dude, all I want is to turn a pair of Shure SE425 IEMs into something wireless because nobody puts headphone jacks into anything anymore. I'm not spending almost as much as the headphones themselves cost on a goddamn BT DAC that probably isn't better than some 30€ integrated thing

the trick is giving up

Made a friend #crow

However: I didn't kill it, and it works just fine now. Happy scope sunday everybody, HP 1745A back in action with 100mhz of analog goodness

(partly) Recapping a 70s oscilloscope turned out to be a lot harder than I anticipated 🥲

I'm so tired of tech people that confuse an extremely limited understanding of something incredibly complicated with actual knowledge, because they happen to be proficient in one narrow area and deduce "I must be a general purpose genius!" from that. They don't even know how little they know.

We live in the weirdest universe

I'm surely not going to regret using 14 year old hard drives that spent their working lives spinning at 15k RPM (On a related note: This is an 8GBit FC shelve in spite of its age, it's always interesting to me how FC never really caught on outside of datacenters for NAS stuff - it was sooo fast)

Things have escalated. Cobbled together some RAM for the second dx360 M3, added the fibrechannel JBOD I got for free but never used because it's LOUD AS HELL and dusted off a neat but old 1GB managed switch. Party like it's 2009 baby, with a makeshift rack and the sound of a jet engine.

Turns out one of my old homelab servers still boots up 🤔 Proxmox 4.4 on slow as hell 40GB RAM and dual Xeon X5570s, I'm this 🤏 close to turn this into a retro gameserver system lol

Maybe not a bad thing at this point

acab includes itself, confounding naive set theorists

First time I can use my shitty Frisian skills lol, time to make Grandpa proud
