i know it’s been a good day — but allow me to remind you why it’s actually a great day

I won! I won my first ever NY Times connections game! FINALLY!

he wouldn't allow the happy hoodie

The important fact of Cinco de Mayo is that it’s as much a holiday of significance for French history as it is a holiday of significance for Mexican history. The main difference being Mexico celebrates because they won. France in the 1860s was complete shit at world domination.

being this openly happy the pope died is genuinely crazy there’s no way her base supports this behavior

Killing 4Chan is like demolishing Jurassic Park, yeah sure you ended the sanctuary for the Dinosaurs, but those dinosaurs are free now, they’re gonna swim to refuge, and that refuge is called… Twitter??

The worst part of this current clown show is that it was completely expected. Journalists were writing that a second Trump term was more revenge than policy the moment he started his campaign in November 2022. The idea he’d fix America instead of entering trade wars and renaming stuff is cope.

Great piece from the Center for Politics arguing that realigmment on race and cultural issues, not economics led to the white-working class moving away from the Democratic Party. centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/...

America was the first world power who sat down and won by letting every other empire fight itself to death. But it’s not the only one, looking at China just sit back as America shudders under it’s own civil unrest is a playbook from yankee jim.

the chinese century

Quasi-final margin in the two Florida specials: —GOP wins #FL01 by 15%. (Trump won here by 37% in November.) —GOP wins #FL06 by 14%. (Trump won here by 30% in November.) The swings are in line with what we saw in the IA & PA upsets earlier this year.

😂

The races went as I’d expect. Repubs win in safe red Florida and Wisconsin, being not as terribly Comservative as the South, elects a Liberal to the supreme court. As telling of the current political climate nothing’s changed. We’re polarized and Trump isn’t popular.
