So, by now, at least 2 quotes incorrectly attributed to Pope Leo are being circulated widely on SM. They're lovely quotes, but he didn't say them. We've got to be cautious about giving stuff like that steam. There are those who would benefit from labeling him as "radical left." Seek sources. #Pope

"Turn off the propaganda" is right. Algorithms and AI are not our friends right now. Read responsibly.

When all the summer leaves on a crepe myrtle have fully set in, but you find these two on the ground. They stood out and caught my eye.

In all things, be peaceful. May we never be baited into violence. #peace #resist #unity #peacefulresistance #wisdom

I collect photos of unexpected rainbows that appear in my home. Clockwise: doorway frame, dining room wall, kitchen metal shelf, kitchen wooden floor. One of several things that instantly brighten my mood. Sunlight refracting through my crystal pieces and beveled mirror edges. #rainbows #science

Not sure why they're called dandelion clocks, but it's a fun way to watch nature at work. Place spent dandelion flowers upright in a jar for protection then watch the seed heads develop! Several days of fun observation. #nature #science

It's possible I take a little too much pride in thwacking and eliminating a mosquito on my leg or a fly in the house. #summer #fly #mosquito #pride

I think it's time to take the term "reality check" out of the sarcasm pile and place it neatly on top of the life skills pile. I for one LOVE getting reality checks. Too much AI and algorithm action out there. #reality #fiction #algorithm #AI #lifeskill

May you at least for a moment experience the sheer joy and giddiness that my dog displays once the her bath is done. Happy Weekend to all. #dog #bathtime #joy #weekend

Reposting partly so you, too, can experience the peaceful image of Thich Nhat Hanh. May you happy. May you be well. May you find peace. May you find love. May all be good where you are.

The thing about not having much money is I leave a much smaller carbon footprint. Also, the need for resourcefulness takes my creativity through the roof! #shopping #climatechange #thrifting #anticonsumption

Strongly recommend pinning a Feed like poetry, Buddhism, or nature, then leaving your account sitting on it overnight. Good bedtime thoughts for a more restful sleep. Also, when you open Bluesky the next day, you're greeted by positive feeds before being thrown into the depths of harsh news.

Bluesky posts with hashtags and images are my favorites. Hashtags require a bit of idea analysis. Interesting results. And the ALT feature for images, well, I'm not vision impaired but the descriptions are like expositions in a novel. Pure poetry sometimes. #hashtags #writing

Hear me out. Peanut butter jars, but instead of tall and narrow, short and wide. #groceries #shopping

My grandmother grew up during the Depression and rarely threw food containers away or easily parted with anything partially still useful. I have COVID era flashbacks of empty shelves and supply chain disruptions, and it's weird that I can relate now. I appreciate EVERYTHING. #economy #shopping

I have a little advice for businesses worried about losing money during crazy economic times: Spare us consumers the indignity of super long lines and just 2 cashiers. We're paying you with money. Be more prepared to take said money with a bit more speed. #economy #shopping

Has anyone found out if Pope Leo actually has a Bluesky account? One seemed to appear a few days ago, but there were doubts that it was authentic.
