You fun want a dino fact? The spikes of a Stegosaurus tail is called a Thagomizer. You might be wondering, is that latin for something? No! Paleontologists had no official word for it until a comic in 1982 came out and called it that. And everyone just said fuck it, thagomizer it is 🤷‍♀️

Who wants a dino fact? The Aachenosaurus. In 1888 a paleontologist found what he believed to be the jaw and teeth of a dinosaur. That same year another paleontologist reexamined the fragments and turned out it was just petrified wood. My guy was discovered just to get deleted from existence.

So do y’all want a scary dino fact? Not only did the T-rex have incredible eyesight, (yeah the movies lied. If a T-rex was looking at you, it was LOOKING at YOU) but it is believed they also had padded feet. So not only could it see you, but it could also sneak up on you 🦖

Me when people say their favorite dinosaur is the pterodactyl. They aren’t even dinosaurs. They are Pterosaurs, which are in fact, very different. Also, Pterodactyl is a broad term that people use to describe Pterosaurs as a whole. While there is Pterodactylus, Pterodactyl isn’t a real thing.

Dino fact before bed. Despite the movies being called Jurassic Park (this is strictly about the first three) most of the dinosaurs that make an appearance are actually from the Cretaceous period.
