So today I learned you can become an Admiral of the Navy of State of Nebraska. It's a funny, non-serious entitlement given to friends of the State, a civic honor, it's a bit of a tounge-in-cheek joke since Nebraska is a landlocked state with no Navy. Lots of people young and old get awarded it.

I got a Canon EF mount lens to work on my Sigma SD Quattro! Sigma only ever supported Sigma SA and M42 mount lenses to adapt to the camera. So I stacked a EF -> M42, and then M42 -> SA adapter. It seems to work great!

what a bad time to have been French royalty in the 16th century. Henry II died in 1559, succeeded by his 15 year old son Francis II. 4 of Henry's kids became kings. Francis II died 1 year later, aged 16 of an ear infection, succeeded by younger brother Charles IX. Charles IX died at 23 in 1574.

I wanna go to Wyoming again. last time I went i brought a shitty metal detector on the shore of a river and found raw tin ore. was just fun to hang out in an extremely rural area and go metal detecting. so peaceful

trying arnold palmer mead... yes... mead made with tea and lemonade. and honestly it's not great. way too sour and has a weird aftertaste... like plastic that peels off of electronics.
