Morning campers. Did you see our websites' 2025 design is live and the start of the speaker and sessions are going up: 2025.ffconf.org First round of tickets released next Thursday morning - set those clocks!

It's 🧪🌍 #WorldEnvironmentDay today. As a webbie, developer or designer, you should set aside some time to watch the brilliant talk from @lilnatw.bsky.social at #FFConf in 2022: ffconf.org/talks/2022_l...

Toot toot! (or bloot bloot!?). Either way, first batch ticket release date is set: 26th June 11am BST. There's limited tickets in that early phase run, but if you miss out, there'll be further batches 👍 Also, CFP is open and @remysharp.com is reading applications: ffconf.org/cfp

Remy is reviewing the first rounds of proposals sent to #FFConf this afternoon and weekend. If you want to get in front of my eyes, and potentially in front of the FFConf people's eyes, here's your link: ffconf.org/cfp

Happy Friday all you lovely people. Did you know we're back (did you think we wouldn't be!?). Our CFP opens today: ffconf.org/cfp - and includes tonnes of details. Early access tickets being announced soon too so watch out!

Going to start posting updates and items in our newsletter. Are you subscribed? FFConf.org/news 📰

Last November, I was honoured to speak at @ffconf.org on the topic of critical thinking for software engineers. The video of my talk has just hit YouTube! It’s mostly aimed at software professionals, but I hope it’s enough is accessible to other audiences too. youtu.be/kIEtS-nBdlc

The next set in our series from #FFConf 2024 have been released. @amyhupe.bsky.social and @mikehall314.bsky.social give us hope (with a good dollop of, I guess, dispair!) and debugging the brain: ffconf.org/articles/202... All our talks can be found here too.

Then to follow at #FFConf, an excellent scoop of scepticism (spelt…unintentionally with a K in the email and post) from @mikehall314.bsky.social specifically on biases and how we can debug these as webbies: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIEt... (in which Mike is photographed as "ARE WE NOT ENTERTAINED!")

Actually on time this week, @amyhupe.bsky.social reprised and updated their "It all means nothing in the end" talk especially for #FFConf: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTFW... Take some time to watch. Spend some time being kind to yourself ❤

"Every Monday" our videos are released. Who came up with that 🤦. Still, here's @bell.bz and @kimberleycook.bsky.social's talks available to watch: ffconf.org/articles/202...

The videos from our 2024 event are now being released every Monday. Here's the first post: ffconf.org/articles/202... You can watch all our videos at ffconf.org/videos (youtube playlist). Please share!

You've not forgotten about the wonderful day last year at #FFconf have you? Or maybe you missed out, had some FOMO (do we still say that…?) (NO DAD!). Anyway, we're ready to start rolling out the videos, here's the annoucement and how to get the latest: ffconf.org/articles/202...

Only took me 3 weeks and a day to publish, but here's the first (of two posts) on #FFConf 2024: remysharp.com/2024/11/30/f...

After 15+ years of teaching, architecting & delivering CSS for global organisations & startups, I’ve collated that experience into an extensive course. Complete CSS has taken nearly a year to produce and finally, it’s officially live for a limited Black Friday launch price of £189 complete-css.com

I never shared my write up of #ffconf! Here’s a few of my highlights, but in reality it was all highlights. www.mattcrouch.net/blog/2024/11...

Thinking about @bell.bz's excellent #ffconf talk and trying to go a whole week without sending a lone "Hey" on Slack... which btw I also find frustrating as a recipient 🤦

An email popped up in my inbox from @remysharp.com of @ffconf.org, which I attended last week, and it inspired me to immediately create an account on here and write this... www.linkedin.com/feed/update/...

I think others have made similar starter packs, but this is (a work in progress) of small community driven events that have shown us support and we (Remy & Julie) would like to support back: go.bsky.app/4kjd9b6 (Feel free to give @remysharp.com a gentle prod if you think there's a missing event)

As I'm seeing the buzz of conferences going on at the moment, I thought it might be good to repost this article on Bluesky about how consistency creates community. Good communities are passionately created by good people doing good things.

It was just two of us closing #FFConf in 2009. A stand out moment for me/Rem was that I realised I never introduced myself, and I closed the conference, and then suddenly came back on the mic to add "Oh, my name is Remy Sharp" - it got a big round of applause ☺️ Never thought it would be 15 years.

Found a slew more of our previous speakers here, so I've added them to the starter pack of ALL THE SPEAKERS (…except some of them that aren't here … yet): go.bsky.app/QsJs5kh

2015's #FFConf closing. For those of you who where there on Friday, you probably noticed the team got "bigger".
