Meanwhile, federal employees and folks like me must decline a gift more than $20 in value. Actual example in ethics training: if I give a talk at a school or museum and they want to gift me a coffee cup and t-shirt—I must decline one. So glad our leaders are held to the same ethical standards 🙃

So Trump has apparently fired the Librarian of Congress, Carla Hayden. You figured that was coming as she is a high profile Black woman. What’s ironic is that she took office in 2016 under his administration. IIRC she was an Obama appointee who was blocked by republicans in Congress just cuz.
