I’m a physics dude who teaches, mostly. My opinions are my own and may not reflect how I feel tomorrow. I like old video games, marvel snap, education, science, yo-yo’s, and feeding and housing folks. Drunk who hasn’t had one in a while.

I do not ‘get’ stocks in any meaningful way, but I feel like if the dollar is weak, foreign investment will be high. With a government run like a business, that foreign money seems to imply the American people are not the ones vesting power in our government, but billionaires and foreign capital.

They want me to play magic again. I see the FF set and it calls but life’s on fire right now, so I say boycott instead.

Just to be clear, there are no good politicians in office. None of them want normal folks to have a good life, they just want the chains to feel soft enough we won’t complain.

The differences in headlines in this story tells you who is afraid/wants the MAGA agenda. Reminder the differences. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

The Department of Education is threatening Columbia University’s accreditation

They’re garnishing Social Security to collect student debt. Elderly people are skipping meds and meals because they wanted an education. That’s not “accountability.” That’s economic violence.

For years we've heard from the right about "welfare queens" and other so-called "freeloaders" pulling one over on the government. But actually, it's the wealthy who are the real freeloaders — pulling one over on us all by skirting their taxes. Where is the outrage over that?

NEW: A nearly 90% funding cut proposed by the Trump administration would likely shut down and devastate the 37 tribal colleges and universities created to serve the students disadvantaged by the nation’s historic mistreatment of Indigenous communities. By @mattkrupnick.bsky.social

The fuck?

A key aspect of transphobia, and especially transmisogyny, is that we never have the right to defend ourselves even when our lives are in danger.

Jonathan Joss was Comanche and Apache and an openly gay actor. He was murdered while looking at the remains of his dogs at his own house that was burnt down. The killer yelled homophobic slurs before shooting him. This is the real world consequences of the hatred that the right commodifies

When I was about 12 I told my dad I didn’t understand why the folks who get to legally shoot people aren’t held to a higher standard than the people who can’t. He said, no one would be a cop if they had to be held to that standard. That was the first time I said we shouldn’t have police then.

APS just informed me that clean energy is getting slashed. Physics really owes the world one after the 40s and I had always hoped this would be how. That being said, I figured out that was never going to happen in the 2010s.

As Israel and the U.S. hold ceasefire negotiations with Hamas, Israelis take to the streets to demand that Netanyahu take action to end the war. “I say that Israel is now a complete copy of what happened in Germany,” said one protester.

Woman’s cut, men’s pocket, elastic wasted pajama unisex pants need to be a thing yesterday.

I really wish with more folks in the USA understood every penny they spend is politics.

Math is about understanding how we measure, how structures work, maps, abstraction, and idealized forms, in my opinion. I’m not sure we really ever teach math until college and I don’t really understand why.

I’m in the middle of a move and I hate moving so much.

The speed and totality with which white “Evangelical Christians” embraced immoral cruelty to other humans reminds me of ….. their fidelity to Slavery and Jim Crow. Same shit. Different hue. Evil bred in the bone.

Hey there! If you think you own your labor you should look up when it’s illegal to strike in the USA. It’s fun, I promise.

1/3 of the way through and all I can say is wow. Mandy Brown’s writing is something I need to be reading.
