Expedition 33 has also made me realise why I’ve found little in game in gaming that has made me happy and kept me engaged - going into most games knowing I will have to do 500 fetch quests and busywork just to progress always sucks ass.

The only really annoying bug (for me) that doesn’t seem to get fixed in UE5 is the “camera angle change cloth jump” bug and the really frustrating gravity settings that seem to always be set to hair making it look like its under water. Fix that and visually the engine will be almost spot on.

Expedition 33 proves you don’t need 50 hours of fucking side quests and fluff to justify 40-60 bucks. It makes the pacing of the story great not having all those distractions.
