On a third of the vote, let that sink in. Even if two thirds don’t vote Reform they could still become the next government. Labour had a similar share of the vote last year. It’s time we had a fair, democratic electoral system.

Many tens of thousands of people in the years to come will have better lives and better deaths because of @kimleadbeatermp.bsky.social - her calm principled leadership has been an inspiration. Few legislators have so great and permanent a positive impact and she takes her place among that noble few.

Please sign and share, over 130,000 signed the first one, and we want this 2nd one to get as many if not more to force the Gov to debate and listen to us! petition.parliament.uk/signatures/1...

I literally cannot remember the last time I agreed with a Daily Express front page. Terribly strange feeling.

WELCOME to MVM North Cumbria Give them a follow. 😀 @mvmnorthcumbria.bsky.social

This takes guts. How long will Clive remain a Labour MP?...

Clive Lewis Labour MP speaks out in @bylinetimes.bsky.social ‘A consultation saw 88% of 28,000 respondents back public water ownership Yet, these voices have been systematically marginalised by a Govt determined to operate within narrowly enforced ideological boundaries’

Out with Make Votes Matter, SW London.

Gary Linkeker has been consistently bold, principled and spoken the truth clearly. The fact the BBC has now placed itself in direct opposition to these values demonstrates the spiral our media is in. We urgently need reform. Solidarity, once again, to Gary. ✊🏼

What has been agreed today will not undo the worst of the harm that Brexit caused; arguably, it could have gone much further Yet it does break the suffocating political consensus. For 1st time in nine years, there are steps to improve our relations with our EU neighbours rather than make them worse

At last night's Westminster event hosted by the @appgfairelections.bsky.social, we heard some very powerful speeches, including one by Abtisam Mohamed MP. Our democracy is in crisis. We need electoral reform - to end the chaos and start restoring trust in politics.

Thames Water bosses are cashing in on a £3bn emergency bailout - while pipes leak and bills rise. Stop bonuses for failure. Sign the petition now to get the Government to step in: 👇

Climate breakdown is happening, and is bringing a soaring risk of droughts and floods. We must build resilience into our water system or face the unthinkable: taps running dry. Privatised water companies can't, and won't, protect us. Here's why. 🧵

BREAKING NEWS: The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Fair Elections @appgfairelections.bsky.social is now the biggest APPG in Westminster 🎉 Inside and outside of Parliament, support for electoral reform is growing. Well done to the group's Chair @alexsobel.co.uk and everyone involved!

Hey British media, It’s no surprise that if you give Farage the run of the place, he’ll start winning. Time to do your actual jobs and start interrogating him on his Brexit shitshow, his funding, his Trumpiness, his idiotic manifesto, his real plans for the NHS… instead of drumrolling him into No.10

In today’s Times. A salutary warning to those many frustrated voters who just wanted to register a protest at Westminster on Thursday (and the same in the US and across Europe) (from Sheffield in Europe)

🚨 Thursday’s elections prove it: First Past the Post is broken. 5 parties, chaotic results, millions left unrepresented. We need Proportional Representation — NOW. ✍️ Sign the petition: actionnetwork.org/petitions/20...

Thank you Putney for some good conversations. And sounds like @fleuranderson.bsky.social will be receiving some emails to encourage her to join the ‘APPG for Fair Elections’ 💚 💜

Never forgive. www.theguardian.com/science/2025...

There is no constituency where everyone likes the same food, or thinks the same way. The option that gets the most votes shouldn't be the only one that matters. Whether at dinner or at the ballot box, wouldn't it be fairer if we could all get what we asked for?

Ooh, I know this: it's because he's a bullshitting, imbecilic narcissist who is either (best case) too incompetent to avoid being played by Putin, or (worst case) an active Kremlin asset working for Putin from inside the Oval Office. Do I get a prize?

"I'm in my 80s. I've never, ever had a fair vote. That really is galling, for me and for lots of people across the country who have been disenfranchised for generations." Audrey has spent decades campaigning for social justice. Here's why she joined Make Votes Matter 👇

In 2024 it took… 24,000 votes to elect one Labour MP 49,000 votes for one Lib Dem MP 56,000 votes for one Tory MP 485,000 votes for one Green MP and 823,000 votes for one Reform MP. Wherever you live and whoever you support, we believe all votes should be equal. Do you agree?

Does this look like fair play to you? If our voting system was a horse race, Labour would only need to run one furlong to win, while the Greens or Reform would have to run at least 20. Fair play is a treasured British tradition. Let's make the finish line the same for everyone. #CheltenhamFestival

"A proportional system encourages parties to form coalitions and cooperate, rather than just trying to game the system and win total control." Great article by one of our Bristol campaigners, Judith Sluglett. 👇

Justin Trudeau named not changing Canada's voting system as his major regret. His successor, Mark Carney, has privately expressed support for Proportional Representation in principle. Good luck to our friends at @fairvote.ca as they continue to campaign for a fairer system.

🚨CONFIRMED: Runcorn and Helsby is having a by-election. As politicians, party activists and the media descend on the constituency, let's make sure pro-PR posters are up in as many windows as possible. Please donate to help make this happen:

Victim of the Post Office Horizon scandal victim offered compensation after death. The slow process of compensation is utterly shameful and adding to pain. People are being bounced into accepting lower amounts. No one has been charged or prosecuted for this long running scandal.

Rishi-dr-death-Sunak wants to cut welfare benefits for the sick and disabled to fund defence spending I have a better idea, a wealth tax on those with more than £10m Sunak is worth over £250 million, a 5% wealth tax would not change his quality of life one bit

French Senator Claude Malhuret: "Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine... We were at war with a dictator, we are now at war with a dictator backed by a traitor."

Would you like one of our activists to give a talk at your event, or take part in a discussion or debate you're organising? We've got experienced campaigners who are trained speakers, ready to make the case for Proportional Representation. Get in touch and we'll arrange it! 📢

I strongly recommend that you might follow this gentleman on social media. @mikegalsworthy.bsky.social is very well informed and very eloquent about current world situations.

It really is that simple. We want Proportional Representation because we believe that, in a democracy, nobody's vote should be more or less important than anyone else's. Makes sense, doesn't it?

Trump’s team are master illusionists—distracting the world’s public with drama, chaos & international brinkmanship while they quietly dismantle an already limited US democracy & crush free speech. Don’t be fooled by the spectacle. The real trick is happening behind the curtain.

Trump never had a peace plan for Ukraine. He had a plan for Ukraine's surrender, with a colonial resource grab. As Zelenskyy rightly refused it, or to cooperate in Trump's TV spectacular, the US has now cut Ukraine off. That's what blackmail looks like. That's what the world is up against.

The strange rise of the pro-Russia right – and why it's both a threat and an opportunity for liberals. This is excellent from @davidgauke.bsky.social. www.newstatesman.com/internationa...

Democracy works best when everyone gets a seat at the table. Young MVM Ambassador Amelie Abass spoke to @youngliberalsuk.bsky.social Chair @harveyj.bsky.social about the importance of youth engagement in politics and campaigning for PR across political divides. 🎥 WATCH HERE: youtu.be/LE7rLgzLfg4

So, according to the grifting gobshite, Farage… Ukraine is corrupt, the Nazi salutes weren’t Nazi salutes and Zelensky was disrespectful to Trump for not wearing a suit… God knows why he’s given the time of day any more. Boot this trash off the airwaves. And out of our public life for good.

Release The Russia Report.

As we welcome the news that the UK will support Ukraine with a £2.26bn loan… Here’s your reminder that the Conservatives wasted £9.9bn on unusable or defective PPE Never forget their staggering corruption and incompetence.
