“…when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. And whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace.”” ‭‭

Professional wrestling remains the most ridiculous athletic soap opera there ever was. And I love it so.

How come no one told me Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” had a KILLER bass line?

Would love to see the Irish do it, but not optimistic…

Like it or not, our leaders reflect our populace. So if we’re appalled at moral deficiencies in our leaders…we need to look inward, and make a point to pull out that which is best, which is most human, in ourselves.

In about a decade or so, some social scientist is gonna earn their PhD on the back of their oral history of “The Great 13 Hour TikTok ban of 2025.”

At the dentist, and they have a Kevin James movie, in which he talks to animals and ignores Rosario Dawson (!), playing on a tv above my chair. Trying to decide which is more unpleasant — being subjected to the movie or having an iron hook shoved into my mouth…

Is there a single NFL throwback uniform that is a downgrade from their regular uniforms? The Broncos’ Orange Crush throwbacks look amazing. Just like every throwback uni, it seems. Were they just better back then?

I'm probably just old, but my (evangelical/non-denominational) church has the drums mic'ed up SO LOUD. Even on the slower, reflective songs, there is a thunder of noise. To the point where I can feel my heart beating in my chest because of the noise level. Is this the norm nowadays? Am I old?

2 random Wicked 2 thoughts: 1. Cynthia Erivo is gonna light the screen on fire when she sings “No Good Deed.” 2. “For Good” is gonna wreck ERRBODY.

Not me crawling back to MyFitnessPal the day after Thanksgiving like, “oh heeey, it’s been awhile! What have I been up to? Let’s not talk about that…”

A big red flag that I am fried and a little burnt out is that my capacity for gratitude diminishes. It’s one of the reasons I love the Thanksgiving holiday — the whole point is that we always have reason for gratitude. It’s a good reminder!

I’m feeling the itch for another marathon. Runners, give me a marathon you absolutely love! I’m in FL, so southeastern US is a plus.

I like it here so far!
