The last time the USA intervened in an India-Pakistan conflict was when they forced Pakistan to de-escalate, during Kargil, in 1999. That was 26 years ago. India and Pakistan have been in multiple conflicts since then.

Yes, they did. In March 2022, India fired a Brahmos Missile at Khanewal, and later claimed it was “an accident” - the missile was unarmed (or so they say).
