I have Egyptian, Australian, Polish, South African, Canadian, Norwegian, Iranian, Irish and British born neighbours, and we can barely get down the road without having a good old natter. If that's a Land of Strangers then bring it on.

The world needs more of this and less of most other things

This is a fantastic story:

Books should be affordable things not cost a tenner & upwards a piece #BookSky #booksky

"Crush humanity out of shape once more, under similar hammers, and it will twist itself into the same tortured forms. Sow the same seed of rapacious licence and oppression ever again, and it will surely yield the same fruit according to its kind". Dickens

So the #PlanForChange is that the NHS offers you assisted dying when your illness is untreatable because it can't afford to treat you or to offer palliative care – or you can choose to die in pain and poverty when too ill to earn a living, because disability welfare will no longer be there for you.

@wildlifekate.bsky.social Noctis had his first peek outside this afternoon about 2.45. Probably looking for mum, she's been absent all morning.

My monster is 5 today and appears to believe he can now pinch my space by brute force as well as stealth. Happy Birthday ginger beastie! 🐈❤️

Human Connor should have known better.

My best boy on Caturday ❤️🐈

This is the front page of the Camden New Journal, the local paper in Starmer’s constituency. It is delivered - for free - to a large number of households in our borough, is in the tube stations, cafes, pubs - everywhere.

Contemplating something, who knows what

Over 150,000 of us in the UK live with MS but most people don't know anything about the disease or what life with MS is like. It's MS Awareness week, time to find out more & talk about MS.

Can't cook, dress, eat, or toilet unaided? Soon, that won’t qualify you for help. 1.3 million disabled people face losing support. Read that again. #PIP 👇😞

My 'Poem a Day' book has served me up The Tyger by William Blake, a classic for a very good reason. Very occasionally a piece of writing simply comes together to create perfection. www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/43687/... #BookSky

The shallow sorrow of MSM over the death of Virginia Giuffre after years of barely concealed contempt is sickening. I hope she has found some measure of peace and haunts the dark nights of the men who led to this.

I seem to have somehow taken on my mothers shopping habits who was always stocking up for a war. I seem to have enough in my freezer & cupboards for a lengthy siege.

Keir Starmer says he will rebuild confidence & trust in the police. Given he has destroyed trust in the whole Labour party for many that will be some magicians taa - daa.
