DHL workers in Canada are on strike, and the company took to using scabs instead of bargaining in good faith. But new federal rules that came into effect today ban scab workers and DHL was denied an exemption.

I couldn't let that Confessore piece slide. It was such a disgusting hit piece on a vulnerable community in a moment of crisis. I dissected the article and why its framings are dishonest at best and outright lies of ommission at worst. www.thedissident.news/anatomy-of-a...

I am getting multiple reports that the Trump admin is NOT complying with the court order requiring passport updates for transgender people. Some passport agencies are being told not to give trans people passports with their correct gender marker, for now.

After nearly two years, the Alberta government has finally released the results of a survey asking Albertans if they wanted to quit the Canada Pension Plan. Just 10 per cent said yes. globalnews.ca/news/1125078...

Look at those lowlife thugs. They look like cartel kidnapping team.

NYT had Tom Homan on The Daily this morning as if he was just a normal guest. They have made a clear decision to lick boots. Couldn’t be me.

So about two weeks to manufacture consent or jingle keys that will distract the US regime

I complain about the heat a lot in Ottawa and people think I'm exaggerating because we have such cold winters. Yes, we have both. We're a city of extreme weather and it's only getting worse. +47 is downright dangerous for those of us without access to effective air conditioning.

wow I asked it if it's becoming conscious this is scary

As I literally just yesterday was saying to somebody, if their "AI" is so good and useful for literally, why do they have to keep tricking us into using it, shoving it without warning into all the tools we actually *Want* to use, or otherwise forcing it on us without our consent?

Please get your pre-teens the HPV vaccine - while you still can. Only 60% of our kids in the US are up to date on this vaccine that prevents cancer, and with #TeamCancer leader RFK in charge, that percentage is going to fall. www.theatlantic.com/health/archi...

Canada’s sovereignty is facing an existential threat over disproven allegations that illicit fentanyl, originating from Canada, is significantly contributing the American drug poisoning emergency. This Bill is a dangerous and unfounded admission of guilt 🧵 #cdnpoli www.canada.ca/en/public-sa...

Racial eugenics wears many disguises. One is drug prohibition.

Firing all the technical writers has probably cost the economy $100B in lost productivity from people wasting time trying to figure out what the fuck is actually going on with this goddamn API

when you say “duhh ai writing is good actually” you’re the yellow guy. this is u

This is one of the core reasons right here. The other is that they hope this "solves" the human workers "problem"

Evidence continues to mount that the only kind of worker that could be replaced by AI is an executive. They're the only employees operating at a level that AI is anywhere close to matching.

a reminder to support Black artists & businesses not just today but every day 🖤

there should be a service where i say "i liked what this piece of media was going for but it didn't quite get there for me" and they will say "damn that sucks. here is a similar piece of media that DID pull it off" and i give them $10

Trump ran on using the armed forces against Mexico!

"I asked ChatGPT" "I asked Grok" ok well I asked Gandalf and he said he has not passed through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm

Evergreen. Juneteenth was slavers getting caught trying to hold on just a little bit longer.

The license plate thing is actually something I’d been having questions about (were they using government plate, for example). Knowing that there’s actually none at all makes it much worse.

I am with Noah on this point: block Vance and any other high level republican politician on sight. This isn't like a normal right wing troll setting up shop: this is someone with the powers of the government behind him. Death threats are the LEAST of our concerns here.

people have said you should block vance because he's looking for engagement to share on twitter. the corollary there is that engaging with him is extremely unsafe. He wants to put you on blast and see if he can get his nazi followers to send you death threats. 1

The last few months have been the most impactful by 404 Media yet. Stopping ICE data access; triggering changes at AI companies, more. We continue to be the most impactful tech outlet on the internet, and our subscribers let us do this work. Here are some of those recent examples:

Oh no (don’t click the links in Google ads, they’re a security/ scam risk)

I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.

Love this. AI booby traps!
