What to change and how to change it. Baring an epiphany of biblical proportions, the executive will continue trying to become the only relevant branch. The judiciary is what it is and will continue along its current impotent path. That leaves the legislative branch. This is where we need to invest.

This is the old "bait and switch" routine used by grifters over the centuries. MAGA sold many Americans on the the goal to deport dangerous and violent gangsters then switched to innocent and compliant refuges, day laborers and care takers. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Florida's AG introduces law enforcement that promises to kill you "grave yard dead" if you are perceived to have thrown something at a deputy. They will try, convict and execute people on the spot, no due process, no jury of one's peers, etc. These bozos need to be removed from office ASAP.

I'm attending No Kings's event, “NO KINGS Inverness, FL” - sign up now to join me! www.mobilize.us/nokings/even...

Trump and his band of bozos are trying to replicate Germany’s Reichstag fire in LA. They may even be bringing in paid provocateurs; that’s how Hitler is thought to have done it. Let's not assist this by failing to follow MLK's non-violent example.

So DOGE now has the green light to fully access our social security data. May we now learn who or what is making the decisions at DOGE and will that person or thing appear before congress to answer questions about its past behavior, its future plans and its rationale for all that?

As I listen and read about the Trump/Musk kerfuffle, I am reminded of this quote attributed to Neil Gaiman:

Does the president's Article II duty to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed” entail an exclusive presidential power to decide which laws to enforce or not to enforce. I think NOT. Rather s/he is limited to extant laws and must enforce them as Congress intended www.aei.org/op-eds/maxim...

Have you noticed how strained Trump's smile is in every picture where his teeth are visible? It actually looks painful and probably is for him. Being a grumpy old, malevolent con man is inconsistent with a real, warm and humane smile. That must be why.

JD Vance tells us, "... you cannot have a country where the American people keep on electing ... and the courts tell the American people they’re not allowed to have what they voted for.” Note that this sentiment rejects the concept of minority rights. Majority rule, no minority rights, no democracy.

Reminder: GIFT is a four letter word. Value is now 200 mil and falling fast. Refitting time and cost render this an improbable value. No wonder our economy has deteriorated so much in the last hundred or so days. Pentagon action now looks like a Keystone Cops clip.

“How is it possible that a party ... gets no political benefit? We should start with the observation that it's hard to debate a consummate, flood-the-zone liar when you are trying to be honest, fair and accurate. This difficulty is magnified when one commits to fact checking the liar. Itsa MAGA IEP

Trump has long been Putin's "bitch" but has managed to remain in denial over it. How do we get DJT to face reality when he can't even own up to rising prices and the negative consequences of cutting food assistance? www.cnn.com/2025/05/20/p...

What will Trump's GOLDEN DOME actually do? It will automagically 1) teach you and your children everything they need to know, 2) prevent you from ever getting sick and cure you if you do 3) protect you from all enemies, foreign and domestic, real and imagined 4) obviate the need for FEMA, 5) TL/DR

As Trump tries in vain to forestall baldness he's found the perfect distraction: getting the American people focused on a multi-billion dollar "golden dome" instead of his imminent "chrome dome." Ah vanity, Trump is thy name.
