Yes, the bells of @stmarysworstead.bsky.social joined you in celebratory ringing last night! #VEDay80 @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social

Hugely proud to have been part of this, seeing our community come together to remember @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social

In an alternate CofE - Just imagine crowds in Deans Yard awaiting the announcement of a new ABC after the House of Bishops has been locked in Church House for a conclave... How long would they take, do we think #CofEPeeps?

You’re always welcome here at @stmarysworstead.bsky.social , Ted! And here’s one more family photo to complete the set! #DogsinChurch

We’re getting ready to mark the 80th anniversary of VE and VJ Day (events for 15th August will be announced in due course). @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social

A prayer for Pope Francis on the day of his funeral.

In this Easter week, a kind pilgrim lit a candle at Walsingham for our Benefice. We give thanks for all happening for and with God here: not least that we celebrated our best attended Holy Week and Easter since 2018. Alleluia!

Happy Easter!

ā€˜And it was night…’

Ahead of our service later the Altar of Repose has been prepared. A huge thank you to all our flower arrangers for their time and skill!

Lent approaches…

Proper sedilia at last!

at the Chinese takeaway this evening: "You're the Vicar aren't you? You took X's funeral. I remember you telling us that God loves us all, just as we are. That helped."

Amongst many edifying pursuits on holiday this week, I've read this - if you haven't, you must! The way the Gospels are unlocked is quite extraordinary!

A beautiful sermon on what the church is called to be, preached by the Rt Revd and Rt Hon the Lord Williams at the Choral Evensong for Candlemas in memory of Robert Willis, Dean Emeritus of Canterbury. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nfl...

Happy Lunar New Year. Thanks to Revd Tim Yau @timyau.bsky.social for reminding us why it matters. www.dioceseofnorwich.org/lunar-near-y...

This is horrific. What on earth is going on? How is anybody to have confidence of any sort. Praying for survivors and for integrity.

This further delay to the LLF process won't help anyone, or anything, and continues to cause pain and distress on all sides. Just get on with it!

We're delighted our weekly coffee morning is registered with @warmwelcomeuk.bsky.social @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social

Delighted to deliver these clothesĀ (Ā£345 worth, raised at the recent coffeeĀ mornings)Ā to the Rev Adrian Woodbridge, Head of theĀ NNUH Spiritual Care team - these clothes are used to support patients and the need is ongoing. THANK YOU ALL for your support! @dioceseofnorwich.bsky.social

A dear and faithful parishioner died this morning. It was a blessing to me to minister to him and his lovely family: a blessing and a weight, for his loss affects us all so deeply. Rest well and rise in glory.

This is so sad to hear. Geoffrey was the epitome of a Christian gentleman - always fastidious in his dealings, scrupulously fair in the application of the rules, and always decent, genuinely funny and full of the essential, gentle encouragement to be better than we sometimes settle for...

There's something powerful about hearing the Bishop who ordained me is to retire. Thank you +Alan for your trust and the gift and grace of Holy Orders administered at your hands. May we always strive to be worthy of the great calling given to us. www.stalbansdiocese.org/news/retirem...

Well, I'm here full-time now, no more X!
