To be perfectly queer, a good chunk of my song “Saturn Returns” is about queerness/transness/otherness ultimately being NUNYA business when considering someone’s humanity. Happy Pride, loves! When bigotry is a pain, be a brick.

Okay so don’t hate me but I have never quite understood Kate Bush. People have been trying to turn me onto her for most of my life & though I found her talented I couldn’t fully get into her music. HOWEVER. I just watched some live performances & NOW I GET IT.

Played a 20ish minute set for friends at a gathering today, all other musicians, and got good feedback. I really love a lil diy situation. I go into it just wanting ppl to at least be polite bc they like me, so having them enjoy it & tell me why is so affirming. Ready to do it againnnnnnn

What I need, and can’t yet afford, are work sneakers. What I want, and cannot yet afford, are 463 pairs of fun sneakers.

*skips away*

Anyway, crocheting a LARGE dragon; looks like nose-to-tail it will be about 3’ long 🫠 One hind leg is about the same amount of work that goes into what, up to this point, would be in the “large” category when I set up my display. It is gonna look really good

Raise your hand if your basement flooded 👋🏼

If you want to know where to grab a hard copy of Baltimore Beat or find boxes near you, this interactive map is always updated. If you want the paper to be available or a box near you email me at : [email protected] baltimorebeat.com/our-print-lo... Happy Friday Baltimore

Oh people don’t like having to pay for driving like murderers okay good luck everyone jump out of the way ffs

Beautiful day to hike some dogs

So basically every time someone invites me over I am now asking if I can play a few songs in front of them. I now have two actual shows booked and wanna get through as much startup awkwardness beforehand.

I probably watch an inordinate amount of cake decorating videos

Performed on a rooftop last night. It was chilly but the lil audience was warm.

Also got asked twice if my hair was a wig because it looked so good. Why yes, I know my way with some product and a blow dryer, thank you ☺️ Vanity appeased ✅

Having my first music performance in 15ish years at a house party was a good idea. Need to do a few more. Get the scales out. Definitely messed up a lot especially in the beginning but overall it was good & some people liked it even

My plan for staying in has been foiled by a birthday party invitation but I get to do a mini set of music so how could I refuse?

Baltimore music pals, would love to hop on to open a show anytime but especially June. House/yard shows are cool too. Working on some things already for later on but would love to limber up before then!

I cannot make the one event I really want to go to this weekend so I probably am staying home the whole time. Unless the weather gets warm & pulls me outside. This is what happens after a week of nonstopingness

Babe has been giving me some wonky, noisy beats to play around with & one could get spoiled by this

I made it in time!

The more I need to pee the harder it is to get home

Schlepping myself through the week I guess

Officially have my first gig! I get to play exactly one song at the old weirdo county big backyard party/festival we go to each year. Also potentially get to open a show in October. Gonna push for a few more dates for summer.

Babe’s show on Friday was really fun then we went to the upstairs bar where I danced so hard it was like an exorcism. But then I woke up feeling really low for two days and just slept the rest of the weekend. Why does my brain reject joy sometimes. Annoying af. I feel fine today so that’s good

The Baltimore Beat team taste tested our new beer with Peabody Heights Brewery yesterday! The Beat Goes On is a refreshing black cherry and basil fruited ale with a hint of marshmallow. Come try it at our beer launch party this Saturday, May 17, from 5-10 p.m. baltimorebeat.com/celebrate-ba...

I have decided to look hot tonight so if you see me, you’re welcome

If someone does not live in Baltimore and they start talking about it, I tune them out with a quickness.
