This is not an exaggeration. So many services- including ones you pay for if you have private insurance- are dependent on Medicaid existing. This is not “oh, this isn’t my fight, time to reserve my energy” time. Imagine your kid’s appendix rupturing and having nowhere to go. That’s the severity.
