last talk of the day is the fantastic Manny Silva talking documentation testing strategy. "Something always breaks." Documentation ends up out of sync, because changes don't get communicated downstream. This creates distrust internally and user distrust. #WTD

Amazon’s CEO contributed just 0.4% of his taxable pay to Social Security last year. Meanwhile, Amazon’s median-paid worker contributed 6.2%. Amazon's workers paid a 15x higher rate of their taxable income into Social Security than their CEO. Scrap the cap.

The whole idea that “trade deficit” is racist and xenophobic. Other countries that produce stuff that US buys are not committing some offense or getting away with something sneaky. But if people believe that the US is under attack by foreigners, they might just get behind this idiot theory.

Also, tariffs don’t “bring money into the US” – they are a tax paid by people already in the US who buy imported stuff. Also tariffs are a “regressive” tax meaning poorer and working class people will pay more than their fair share, and rich people will pay very little. What a stupid timeline.
