Sure sex is great but-

Programming languages: "We are just a way to operate computers in a way that makes sense to humans." Programming languages [takes a big joint hit]: "What if there were 5 kinds of nothingness?"

If I had a cent for every time I'd say "well this is an edge case that ✨SHOULD✨ really never happen.. "I'd have enough to live in a 25.6% VAT country

I just accidentally ran `rm ~/.gitconfig` I'm an idiot (Yes I have my dotfiles in a repo somewhere but I haven't updated in a very long time)

Half way there!! I am so happy I decided to try Kotlin this year, learning a bunch

#AdventOfCode day 2, I spent 45 minutes mostly searching stack overflow for "how to do thing that I know how to do in Python in Kotlin", but I regret nothing, very happy to be learning

I NEED MORE PANETTONE

I can't believe my youngest slept longer than 5:45 AM! I was able to collect my first AoC stars in bed with her sleeping next to me (she has a built-in proximity alarm which goes off if I'm more than 15cm away from her), with laptop on min brightness and keyboard light switched off

Ok I am doing AoC in Kotlin this year now hold me accountable github.com/mimikrija/Ad...

My kid just took a bite of their toast, threw up, and resumed eating all within a timeframe of 1 minute

AoC starts tomorrow!!

Woohoo

Before I was a parent I would roll my eyes so hard when a parent would mention that it is impossible to reason with their 1.5yo and that their kid is so stubborn. "Well, You're the adult" I would think, fortunately not saying it out loud. Guess who now has a stubborn 1.5yo impossible to reason with

The #1 overall free app on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android) is... Bluesky?? This is pretty incredible from an independent team, with a fraction of the budget as most other apps on these charts. (This represents current downloads, but it still huge. Congrats Bluesky team!)

my problem is that I don't know how to write a recursion for the love of me, but I'm convinced that I am good at recursions because one time in highschool I nailed the Fibonacci code

Yes I am a (almost) 40 year old woman who gets suck a kick from solving Advent o Code.

Any Advent of Code folks here? Traditionally I'm solving the few remaining puzzles from last year aa a warmup for this one #adventofcode #adventofcode2024

OMG I am playing fetch with my 1.5 old, I keep throwing the ball and she keeps bringing it back

Ok so I'm using this bluesky wave to try and build international audience. Have been active for over a decade on Twitter where I mostly write my random thoughts in Croatian, I guess I want to do it on English now as well?

I spent way too much time as a developer thinking that copying on selection in an integrated IDE terminal was simply.. not possible?! anyway you just need to enable it in the settings, and it works!!

Good deed of the day ✅

Serious Codex Seraphinianus vibes

I have a new skincare routine twist where everything I apply to my face I apply to my hands too, you are welcome

I miss teaching sometimes, so I volunteered myself for tech mentoring at work. That's a great way to not get rusty with my teaching skills but also with the skills I'm trying to teach. I did a nice session today on git log and my students were amazed at how powerful of a command it is

I solved my last remaining puzzle from the last year today!! Can you guess which one it was 🙄 NOW I'm ready for 2023 #AdventOfCode

I don't even understand these captcha questions anymore

Ok I just learned that I can use `mvn test` with `git bisect run` and I just.. <goosebumps gif>

Awake since 2:20 AM with my 6mo who really wants to put in those workouts just go to sleep please

So today I've written my first ever post-checkout git hook! Of course it was for Advent of Code

Anyone else here looking forward to the jolliest season? Less than a month left and I still need to collect seven stars for my 2022 Advent of Code 🌟

Apparently aurora borealis was visible all across Europe (including the Netherlands) last night but the Dutch weather made sure I miss this once in a lifetime experience ☁️☁️☁️
