Won’t be able to make it to Barcelona this year, but as a wheelchair user and @svelte.dev community member - knowing that the venue is fully wheelchair accessible (without digging around for info) is hugely important. Congrats to @rich-harris.dev and Svelte Team pushing #a11y online and offline. ✌🏻

In a world, where crappy social network CEOs are the norm, we need more Jays (@jay.bsky.team) to step up and show us how leading and building a inclusive online social network/community is done. 🫶🏻 🦋 mashable.com/article/blue...

Even when you’re not in #Laravel land, community contributions such as this @svelte.dev Starter Kit can really save your 🥓: laravel-news.com/laravel-12-s... Used a slightly modified AuthSplit component yesterday for the auth layouts for Happy Cal. Great work by Osemudiamhen Ughu. 🫶🏻

When you’re 10 layers deep in a Bash script that you wrote last year and forgot how it works: Smeagol: Bash... yesss, precious Bash... We wrote it, yesss… but we don’t remember how!

Decided today is a perfect day to write some non-job-related code and learn some @svelte.dev CRUD with @cloudflare.social D1 in the process. Very WIP at the moment…

<rant> if I got half a cent every time I hear "ND filters are like sunglasses for your camera/lens" on a random Youtube ND filter video review, I'd be challenging Elon in terms of net worth right now... 🫠 </rant>

It has been the second time I have felt the absolute rocket rush that comes after @taylorotwell.bsky.social merges your changes into anything #Laravel... ... and it still feels surreal, every single time. Laravel forever. 🫶🏻

Decided to take @cmorrell.com's advice from his Laracon EU talk "Your first pull request" seriously, brush the dust off my "Open Source (Janitor) Contributor" badge & made a micro PR to #Laravel Livewire Starter Kit... Life is about the little things that bring you joy. github.com/laravel/live...

Signed up for this one. This has been the missing ingredient for a while now and is getting added soon. 🦾 And then @coulb.com can convince @calebporzio.bsky.social to make “Make Zed Awesome” and we’re in business… 😎

@coulb.com GO BIRDS! Sure picked the right time to move… 💚🦅

Started off the day filling in at the livestream commentator post for the IBU Para Biathlon World Championship 2025 in Pokljuka, Slovenia… That’s my I barely know what I’m doing face from the booth. Brilliant experience, thanks again for the opportunity! 💚

This is awesome. PHP is back, with a vengeance. 😎

I hate waking up early in general, but rarely will the name of my least favorite alarm ring more true than tomorrow… 😫

Lots of folks have been asking for a video about using state in Verbs, and I've finally gotten around to putting one together. youtu.be/d6_ggotpb_8

January 3rd. Smart home setup and crappy access to home router gets you a good selfie sometime… 🙃

Playing with local LLMs has funny side-effects sometimes... like #Ollama not being aware of what Ollama is. 🫣

The official Laravel VS Code extension is now available in beta. ✨ Blade syntax highlighting 🖊️ Eloquent autocompletion 🔗 Route, config, & middleware linking 🧠 Smart diagnostics And more... Get it now → marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemNa...

Hey @nunomaduro.com I made you a video! But… anyone else who is interested in Verbs should check it out, too 😄 youtu.be/uQKl_J_1oqg

Asked two LLMs - Gemini Advanced & Claude - to help me write some boilerplate text, explaining #Laravel to a non-developer/non-technical client. We've officially reached the stage of LLMs reading & copying other LLMs while trying to convince humans how vastly different they are from one another. 🫠

Attended the Slovenian #Laravel Meetup, hosted by @agiledrop.bsky.social a few weeks back. As always, super welcoming crowd, fun talks and great time hanging out with php artisans. 🫶🏻 Also, wheelchair always guarantees a front row seat in the group photo, whether you’re a speaker or not. 🤓

Heard @cmorrell.com state on @overengineered.fm recently that he would consider putting the users’s room temperature at the time the event was fired into event data. Strongly considering adding user agent to Verbs event metadata to see which browser triggered that nasty exception this time. 🤔😎

Once again, @joshhanley.au has found a way to take a complicated topic and collapse it down to something digestable to any event sourcing newcomer. Great talk as well as Q&A. 👏🏻

Something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently: We spend a lot of time praising frameworks, concepts, programming languages & software that helps us get where we want to go in life. We don’t give nearly as much attention to the people that help us along the way. So let’s change that.

Been waiting for a perfect project to come along, that absolutely warrants the use of event sourcing in #Laravel, using Verbs by @cmorrell.com and @coulb.com... ... and reading this, I think the Universe has delivered.

This is gold. Now I can add sports teams and journalists without breaking my 🦋 feed. And just like that, @bsky.app gets another 🌟 in my book.
