There are some days when reading the news before bed is super bad & this is one of them. I just really don't want to deal with the haters right now. The bullies at work act like it's their duty but that it makes them miserable.

As someone raised to be a scapegoat, I am submitting to y'all that yes, there's an idea that being a scapegoat is the secret to love & belonging - but it is a lie. People are happy to accept scapegoats but they will not provide love & belonging in return. Don't listen to our betrayers.

All this...with the caveat that at this point "heroes" belongs in the same bin as "resilience". "Heroes" gets used to praise us for our efforts while the local or larger system refuses to fix problems just like "resilience" is misinterpreted to mean "thriving in adverse circumstances"
