Some don't want posts like this on @bsky.app. I want more. Why ? This is a moderated platform. Which means unbridled hate is removed. And blocked. Making this is a platform where we can engage and have real discussions on real issues. @bsky.app w 100m users changes political discourse.

Being able to access links to outside content easily is the number one reason why I dont think Bluesky is an echo chamber. If I want to know what the crackpots and bots are saying, I can always log back into Twitter.

The idea that Bluesky is insular and X is a place for diverse views is a fallacy. X is based on an algorithm rigged to push the views of Musk and others on the far right. Bluesky is open. You can make it whatever you want it to be.

I switched from Goodreads to StoryGraph this week and I really like their book recommendation survey. You can specify which topics you're not in the mood for and/or never want to read about, as well as books you want the "vibe" of, etc, and it recommends some cool ones! www.thestorygraph.com
