I wrote some words and made some renders on what the New Design Language of iOS, iPadOS and macOS might be. Physicality: The new age of UI. www.lux.camera/physicality-...

Uhh I think they took a wrong turn

Texas charges me $200/year to register my EV… this bill in Congress adds an extra $250 πŸ’€ Why are you punishing me?? I just like batteries!

Route sharing + Waymo vans sounds like a good future to me. I wonder if you could get better road utilization by dynamically planning routes for 4-6 people, versus static bus routes (designed for 30-50 people) that get low ridership.

On the same day that Google's new video model terrifies me, this has me optimistic & thrilled about the future. It took time to figure out how to live with smartphones in a healthy way – it'll take time with this stuff too.

Grateful I get to be a new parent in the age of LLMs Instant, always on, functionally unlimited access to humanity's synthesised advice and research on newborns. They've coached me through sleep schedules, lactation issues, health concerns, and generally been a great emotional support system.

I'm running a *very* tiny container on AWS, and operating with MASH rules to save money: - 0.25 vCPU / 0.5 GB memory - Spot capacity (container can be interrupted) - No load balancer & static IP β€” just a script that updates Cloudflare DNS when the container restarts πŸ˜‚

Pretty sure Cloudflare Workers is my favorite cloud service of the past few years. Deployed globally by default, no complex networking setup, and crazy fast. There's a lot of overhead to getting the same setup in AWS. (And I'm afraid to try CloudFront Functions.)

I was in school while smartphones were becoming prevalent. They sucked the life out of everything. Each class began with a ten-minute silent scroll as we waited for it to start. I wish I had gone to school in a phone-free environment.

Who knew that Toyota could be the one competing with Tesla’s FSD?

Love this city

babe wake up time to pay AWS $1.80 for nothing in particular
