For #FossilFriday, here's some #paleoart of a casual afternoon in the Early Cretaceous Wealden group, with iguanodonts, tyrannosauroids, polacanthids and sauropods making a mess of a watering hole. The mashed-up muds left by these animals can be found to this day in Wealden rocks. #dinosaurs #sciart

Painting nodosaurids today: here's one I made earlier (2023), the Late Cretaceous European genus Stuthiosaurus. #Paleoart of Stomatosuchus inermis, a large and strange Mesozoic stem-crocodylian. The skulls of these Cretaceous, Egyptian animals were 2 m long but their jaws had tiny teeth, weak muscles, and of fragile construction. Predators of large game, they were not. #paleontology #crocodile #sciart

I don't think I shared this here. It an illustration of Concavotectum, a large fish from the Kem Kem beds, so a potential meal for Spinosaurus, thanks to some new material and a better understanding of the holotype this Cretaceous fish is now maybe one of my favorites.
