something deeply delightful about my lil brother, who lives in the northern gulf islands, rural bc, describing the difference between "town", "downtown", and "the city".

THE UNION FOREVER, HURRAH BOYS HURRAH DOWN WITH THE TRAITORS, AND UP WITH THE STARS

hey LA pirate people, if you have a way to get to 936 seward and can save some of this stuff from getting destroyed via weather exposure there are film nerds all over the world who would love you forever

The next time someone calls a reporter "biased" or an activist — especially someone who is a woman, a person of color, LGBTQ+, an immigrant, and/or disabled — ask them to articulate the difference between bias and expertise: longreads.com/2018/03/29/i...

Raeghan Buchanan was interviewed recently in the PBS News Hour segment "How Black Musicians Have influenced Punk Music" in the company of artists from the iconic "Death", "Pure Hell", "Rough Francis", and "Special Interest"

Corinna Repp's album It's Only The Future might be 20 years old, but it's so apropos for these dark, murky, and troubled times.

If you are interested in working in conservation in the Pacific Islands I strongly recommend using the knowledge contained in this report www.capturingknowledge.org

I think what's being done to trans people in this country is a FUCKING SCANDAL. It's absolutely an attempt at eradicating trans people from public life and ALL OF US must refuse this. Everyone. Stop being a loser mealy mouth person. This is bullshit. You should say so in all the places you inhabit.

I read this piece by @brittneymac15.bsky.social in @teenvogue.com and it was cogent, informative and caught be up on what I need to know. I cannot stress enough how good @teenvogue.com's political coverage has been over the past 5 years. www.teenvogue.com/story/trumps... - make it a point to read

This is a fantastic thread and I’d like to note something about it, going back to my earlier thread— Courtney is vividly describing a type of care system. One I’d define more specifically as a CARE HIERARCHY. Part of caring is tolerating discomfort so others can feel better. 🧵

the Green New Deal is not enough. we also need the Gay WPA

omg wallace shawn on deepspace 9! (doing a rewatch for the first time since the 90s)

The story of the Klamath River might just be our favourite things that happened this year. After decades of activism by the Karuk and Yurok tribes, the river was finally freed of four huge dams, ahead of schedule and on budget. https://buff.ly/4gd6E1b #ShareGoodNewsToo
