Remember: everything you think about light Summer beers is marketing. And bad marketing at that. On a hot day, is there anything more enjoyable than a complex, sweet beer which you can savour over time without worrying about it overheating?

Some more credit hire this morning from the Court of Appeal in Tescher v Direct Accident Exchange [2025] EWCA Civ 733. Interesting to see the figures in ¶2. I was surprised there are only 1,700 fast track trials a year. Less so that so many involve credit hire. www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWC...

All sorts of interesting things to unpack in this article, beyond the intermediate court nonsense where KBKC is, with respect, completely correct. For example: a shot is taken at the Bar Council’s cost & size. Beyond one lawyer on Twitter, I’ve never heard a complaint about those things.
