Poem #7 Sometimes looking back is good. It’s good to remember that there was joy. “Numb pale toes on a white sand beach on Anna Maria Island as the sun peeks in. Warm water creeps up the Golf Coast welcoming a current of family affections” ginaduran.substack.com/p/february-s...

I created my last shedding 6 years ago, only to realize that it’s not a shedding but an accepting.

Collected some really beautiful contributions for the Unity Quilt. It was a time for great conversation, music, workshops, and community at the Storyteller’s Festival on Saturday, at Pitzer College. Thank you to Jack Contreras for including the Unity Quilt.

Today, as I shaved my legs I thought how funny it would be to see a baboon or gorilla w/shaved legs but here I am shaving mine. Humans aren’t really all that evolved from apes. But we wear clothes, hide our scent, & keep trying to be more than human. When really there isn’t anything else we can be.
