Today is International #ParrotCrisis Awareness Day. Despite int'l anti-poaching policies & frameworks worldwide, #parrots continue to be trafficked to meet pet trade demands. #AdoptDontShop #NoCageIsBigEnough #ParrotsArentPets #UnconditionalSolidarity

#spain Ok, this is odd. A humpback #anglerfish was filmed swimming *near the surface* IN DAYLIGHT near Tenerife. people.com/deep-sea-ang...

You’ll notice American state media have completely ignored insurrectionist creep Mike Johnson and racist scumbag JD Vance saying that rulings from judges should be ignored and that they plan on breaking all laws. But President Biden’s age. Fuck you to everyone who chose this.

Wouldn't it be funny if MAGAs knew that undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion dollars in taxes?

Ok, #NYT. When the hell are you gonna stop sugar-coating it?! This is not a "flexing of power," it's an unconstitutional dismantling of our gov't by a liar, felon, rapist, and traitor.

I just realized that the way I feel now is very similar to the way I felt in the beginning of the #pandemic: scared, worried, mad, frustrated at not knowing what is going to happen. Everything. 😞

Best news of the day!

So, even the eye doctor is pushing botox? WTF? Here, they should care about my eyes, not my wrinkles. 🙄

This #LetThem idea is all well and good, and honestly COULD help me in relations with my dad, but I don't think NOW is the time to just "let" anybody. ☹️ www.upworthy.com/motivation-e...

Today in US History: On Feb. 3, 1870, the 15th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, granted black men the right to vote. It was passed by Congress on February 26, 1869. Black Americans were set free by the 13th amendment. The 14th Amendment guaranteed citizenship. #BlackHistoryMonth

Are the next 4 years really going to be logging on everyday to sentences like "a 19 year old doge intern called Big Balls has your social security number" because I'm already at capacity for this sort of thing

We better watch out. We're headed in the direction of Nicaragua, which is not good. www.france24.com/en/live-news...

Dr. Margaret Strickland Collin’s studied termites, and was the first Black woman to earn PhD in entomology. siarchives.si.edu/blog/margare... #BlackHistoryMonth #28DaysOfBlackSTEMHistory

Happy Black History Month! Here is my favorite story about a Black American you may not know about: Robert Smalls. He commandeered a confederate ship and sailed himself, his family, and the other enslaved crew and their families to freedom. THROUGH waters controlled by the Confederacy.

A gay guy, a Black man, and a woman walk into a flight deck— that’s not the beginning of a joke, but just a regular day at work! There was so much DEI on this plane that we could hardly get in the air. Luckily my limp wrists were able to wrestle the heavy jet back to the ground 💅🏼
