So there's a Canadian series called "Saint-Pierre" and it's such a fucking copy of Murder in Paradise that they have the same actor Joséphine Jobert... as Death in Paradise. But it's set in St Pierre and Miquelon, so I guess I'm watching it anyway. Feels very weird though.

"I think we have a bias as people coming from the tech industry where we worked at companies, you know, such as Google, Facebook, these companies that have plenty of money, are funded by investors and have lots of people kind of sitting around doing nothing." www.npr.org/2025/06/02/n...

So Trump has banned everyone from Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. After a man from *Egypt* attacked people in Colorado. None of it makes sense.

At least Barnaby sent some texts

Nicolette Boele wins Bradfield by 26 votes and do not expect an AEC challenge as there were only two multiple votes. Boele will be seated and it is up to Kapterian or any Bradfield elector to decide whether to challenge.

Here's what I think of Azeen Ghorayshi's journalism: www.assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

The worst thing about a dutch political crisis is people posting in dutch. If you wouldn't use it in a café, don't use it online!

LOL. Dutch government about to collapse again. You can't do business with whack-jobs like Wilders.

Canada is pretty much all on fire at this stage. Oh well. Keep exporting that sweet Alberta oil…

It’s crazy that the marketing wing of an Aussie gambling company runs a large platform dedicated to radicalising teen boys into the alt-right pipeline as a way to get the kids illegally gambling, and it doesn’t get any coverage in Aussie media

Labor and the LNP are exactly alike on climate change and environmental destruction. But hey it was fun having that play fight over nukes during the election rather than debating reality.

Treasury confirms climate disasters cost Australia $2.2B in 6 months. We must prepare, not just respond. I’m calling for a $10B Climate Resilience Fund to protect homes, cut insurance costs & future-proof our economy. #auspol #ClimateAction #Resilience

Yup, reading between the lines of press reports it sounds like Brave1's new mothership system. A 'targeting' drone which controls the operations and then the others are essentially bombs. Another wonderful AI frontier.

whenever i encounter people who say they can't understand shakespeare verses I always send them this clip from the 2019 Shakespeare in the Park production of Much Ado About Nothing

Political economy is a set of choices. (A thing that happens is societies seem to unpick some of the good ones they make and double down on the bad ones.)

This is the actual thing you need to worry about with respect to AI btw not the water use or whatever

Bowen has utterly lost the plot There’s no way in Gina’s wildest dreams this thing can ever hit “net zero” It’s 4-billion tonnes of CO2 mate, and they’re only promising to capture 3%, where no similar project has even done that Bowen should #resign, he’s no longer even vaguely credible #auspol

Some heroes don’t wear capes.

The threat that AI poses to higher education has very little to do with knowledge. We could magically find a way to ensure every student does every assignment by hand, and it might make zero difference. What matters isn't AI in essays, it's AI in the drive thru, the call centre, the temp agency.

Boele's last big chance has delivered for her! 16 votes off Kapterian in Turramurra PPVC which was the biggest booth remaining. Boele leads by 12. Biggest change so far. #Bradfield

This youtube channel is so racist. I love it. www.youtube.com/@letsdoubled...

Every time I see the Elon Ketamine footage I feel a strong wave of cringe and regret. But maybe that's just me.

BREAKING: Laura Tingle saying what any journalist should be quite comfortable saying at any time. God Australian journalists are cowards.

That "balancing act" between (a tiny amount of) jobs vs (the huge uncontrolled cost and risk of) climate change.

Peak hypocrisy. Woodside boss attacks young people for "ordering things from Shein and Temu" as her company unleashes a climate bomb, extending the NWS gas export hub to 2070. Our research showed that emissions from the NWS extension would be equivalent to 33 years of Australia’s entire emissions.

Well, thanks to Glenn Greenwald I now know how to mute keywords in BlueSky!

Yeah, nah.

Boele wins. No coming back from a lead like this.

If your Asian food doesn't look like this, it's not *authentic*.

Old mate giving a pretty impassioned speech at the school gym.

This is true. And even if you think this ISN’T the particular problem your city has, it’s always a safe bet that adding more car lanes still won’t solve whatever you think your problem is.

LOL. News Ltd posting this about 'calls to end WFH' like it's not them leading the charge. It's not a productivity problem. So shut up right wingers. www.news.com.au/finance/work...
