Have you been to Santa Monica?

Donald Trump, Pete Hegseth and their anti-DEI team of goons really don’t want you to hear this band or watch this 60 Minutes segment. You know what to do. www.cbsnews.com/news/concert...

If you're ever bored archive.org is a free internet library with billions of hours of stuff between movie books music etc.

Red states-pay attention, because you’ll get hit hardest! They’re gutting NOAA to privatize weather forecasting. Knowledge is power—forecasting is knowledge. Fossil fuel execs rake in billions while the planet chokes—folks keep guzzling gas & won’t notice the climate crisis while the world burns.

Every day, doctorsoood gives important food/health related issues on IG. If you’re there, give him a follow. We certainly can’t trust the government to tell us what we need to know. Detailed info in alt text.

One of the challenges we face with this hazard is that many people have never seen a tip-over. Even in media, hazards like car crashes or house fires are common. Chances are, if you're seeing this video, it's the first time you've seen something like this unless it's happened to you personally.

From Medicaid to SNAP to Head Start, there are dozens of federal programs that could see a freeze today. I did some research and outlined all of the programs that could be impacted: open.substack.com/pub/aaronpar...

The catch-22 is that states try to cap premiums to protect their residents. When they do so, they distort the economics that have changed as a result of climate change, leading to them no longer offering coverage. This is an area the Dems can own by focusing on insurance destruction and inflation

I've been seeing a lot of posts about readers trying to curb their own book buying. Let me remind you of the library. Libraries can use your support now more than ever. When you checkout library books this lets funding authorities know the library is worthy of taxpayer money. 1/3 #booksky 💙 📚

Trump says he ordered the military to go into CA last night to “turn on the water.” CA responds.

Building Legos with my family helped me realize that sometimes I was the foundation, and that even though I felt hidden or overshadowed, that it was still important to fulfill my purpose.

Friends who attended IMCC: International Marine Conservation Congress, either the most recent one or a past one! We are making a Proceedings special issue, and I need a couple more guest editors who are knowledgable about interdisciplinary ocean conservation science. 🧪🚨🌎🐠 #IMCC7

The Trump Administration’s hiring freeze has led the National Parks Service to cancel job offers for seasonal employees. We are concerned this could leave our parks understaffed during the busy summer season, which sees over 100 million visitors annually.

@normeisen.bsky.social on co-founding The Contrarian: “Forget the lawyers, forget the politicians. You need playwrights... You need creative people. The right's been very good at doing this, so we hope to be a part of bringing a cultural and a legal and political voice to the fight for democracy.”

@gavinnewsom.bsky.social on Mike Johnson considering conditioning disaster aid: "Never in California did we question whether or not we, as taxpayers in the largest state in the Union, should support the people of Louisiana at a time of emergency and need. We’d never condition it."

Here in Altadena after meeting with survivors of the #EatonFire. We’re expanding our ongoing special session to provide $2.5B in disaster relief for those impacted by the LA fires. We’re helping people get back on their feet and kids back into their schools as soon as possible.

Los Angeles received just 0.16 inches of rain since May 2024, the second-driest period on record. Wildfires are now engulfing the city in January. But some politicians still claim the climate crisis is a "hoax" as they do the bidding of Big Oil. What planet are they living on?
