Maggie Hasson (NH) asked Noem to define Habeus Corpus "Noem replied, saying that it allows the president to remove people from the US." Aieee! Can we make @lindamonk.bsky.social required reading for all government employees? www.bbc.com/news/videos/... #sschat

Before diving into summer to-dos, take a moment to breathe. πŸ‘‰ Are you tiredβ€”or truly depleted? πŸ‘‰ Do you need restβ€”or real recovery? This s a gentle reminder that not all fatigue is the sameβ€”& neither is the healing. ➑️ buff.ly/RMVcoMt via John Spencer #edusky

A🧡 On Compliance (1/9) Once upon a time, I had a student in my class who was often dysregulated when he entered the classroom and always on the move. He was an ADHDer. I invites his family to collaborate on strategies for regulation.... 🍎 #2e #ADHD #humancenteredteaching

πŸ“– Does anyone have any recommendations on reading fluency work for dyslexic second language learners who never learned to read in their first language? I would love to read some articles!!! Thanks!

πŸ“šπŸ‘ The Davenports (book 1) follows 4 young women in Chicago around 1910. There are activists, business dreams, motor cars, elections, prejudice & segregation, and light romance. This books fills a hole in YA lit that desperately needed to be filled. Book 2 is out, too! krystalmarquis.com

πŸ—Ί A history of thinking about disease and vaccines through the lens of Small Pox that is appropriate to share with MS and HS students. Its slow paced, which allows for note-taking and processing. However, I know some kids who would listen at 3x speed.

I’ve spent 2 years trying to track down a primary source book. Only about 5 surviving copies exist in the world. Then I finally reached out to my librarian and she was able to track down a copy within a week. For every of historian, there are librarians making our work possible. πŸ—ƒοΈ

πŸ—Ί Many students would be shocked at how recent this was. It could be a good "spark" question for learning about fighting for Gay rights... What year did the major global health organization...

πŸ“šπŸ‘ Vanya and the Wild Hunt is a #middlegrade fantasy where there is a magical school with a cool library. It is also original & new: books talk & are kind of salty. The MC is an ADHDer, & the book models strength-based thinking around the way her brain works. us.macmillan.com/books/978125...

πŸ—Ί #scottmpetri died on May 9. I am so sorry that he is gone. Oh my goodness. He will be missed. If you have the #Eduprotocols SS field guide, you have seen Scott's work. I learned a lot from him. My heart goes out to all of you who knew him better than me, his students, and his family.
