🚨 Thursday’s elections prove it: First Past the Post is broken. 5 parties, chaotic results, millions left unrepresented. We need Proportional Representation — NOW. ✍️ Sign the petition: actionnetwork.org/petitions/20...

As an EU member, Britain could be the bridge between Europe and the US. On its own, and with Trump in power, it must choose. Because you can’t side with this America. You can’t excuse its tyranny. You can’t endorse its cruelty. You can’t agree to its terms. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

This shit doesn’t happen in France and I’ll tell you why: the rich went too far once and they cut all their heads off and now, when those in power fuck workers over, the French stop working. Don’t forget your real power Americans. They don’t let you have unions for a reason.

👇🏼A Good protest blocking traffic in London inc ambulances, no arrests obvs as they wear Barbour jackets, flat caps & own millions £’s of land they don’t want to pay inheritance tax on Evil protest blocking traffic👇🏼60 arrests as not wealthy, wear wrong type of clothes, wanting to save the planet 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️

www.theguardian.com/commentisfre... What’s worrying is that the news is so distressing that now ppl are so disillusioned/anxious that even those who are politically informed are not watching/reading the news. Soon they’ll be a vacuum for anything to happen, because there won’t be the outcry

The East of England is a Reform UK stronghold, with three of their five MPs. Perhaps we should know who they are, and what they are doing | Stephen McNair @eastangliabylines.co.uk @stephenmcnair.bsky.social

Posting footage of deportations impresses no one. Reform voters don’t think it’s enough hatred and the rest of us turn away from yet more performative cruelty. The Labour vote disintegrates. If Labour can’t decide who it should be talking and listening to, then it ends up without an audience.

I've done this because private ownership of public services is a philosophy that has completely failed, and the water companies are one of the worst sectors. The Water Bill will have its first debate on 28th March. Ask your MP to be there and back the Bill: actionnetwork.org/letters/ask-...

Surely the German people can’t make the same mistake again? I mean, once was terrible but a second time… www.politico.eu/article/germ...

Yes @yorkshirebylines.co.uk @compassoffice.bsky.social Electoral Reform can save UK Politics.. Why @uklabour.bsky.social are you sitting on fence?

With CO2 levels rocketing, and global heating intensifying, the last thing we need is a vain man’s fantasy politics | Andy Brown

Excellent substack from Dunt. "Wherever you look: Bastards. Bastards making the running. Bastards in their moment of triumph. In their pomp. The main lesson a child would learn today is that only the most cruel, the most ignorant, the most mean-spirited succeed."

If it wasn’t for conspiracy theorists and Reform voters, who the fuck would we laugh at? youtube.com/shorts/tKRfh...

If you remember nothing else: Never, ever trust a Tory.

It will come as no surprise to anyone to hear that British people now dislike Elon Musk more than ever with more than 7 in 10 having an unfavourable opinion of him

I agree says Scotby the other station cat.

I am!

Greenland is 60% for joining the EU now. Up from 40% three years ago. Thanks Trump & Musk!! Original reference (it's a superb report, btw): da.uni.gl/media/4bwb5i...

I prefer a lettuce any day of the week.

Leaving the ECHR won’t do anything to stop small boats. But it *will* compromise the Good Friday Agreement, lead to the suspension of essential parts of the Brexit Deal and put us alongside Belarus & Russia as the only European nations outside the treaty. www.bestforbritain.org/badenoch_mus...

Happy new year everyone, let's hope 2025 is kind to us. Time to get the skis out 😃
