When a cabinet member announces "We are using the military to liberate an American city from its elected leaders," where do you go from there. What is left to say. The idea of that being anything short of a near-universal "Wait, what the fuck is going on" moment proves how far we've backslid.

Since Jan, Trump administration members have 1) endorsed the Confederacy, 2) endorsed white Afrikaner attacks on the post-Apartheid South African government, 3) given a Nazi salute at the inauguration, 4) endorsed the neo-Nazi party in German elections. There's a pattern here, but it's subtle.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

1/ As a white person who has lived in CA for 20+ years can I explain a few basic facts to white people living elsewhere? A Chicano/Mexican accent doesn’t mean you’re undocumented or even an immigrant at all. Mexican flags at protests/events/businesses…it’s like the Irish flag or harp.

public support for interracial marriage only broke 50 percent in the mid-1990s. when my parents were born it polled at 4 percent among white people, now it polls at 93 percent among white people.
