Pre-2022 sets of encyclopedia will be the ultimate status symbol in the near future.

One of my fans is married to an astronomer, and I'm kinda brainstorming a short story that features a fight at an observatory... So anyway, that's why I just got a very detailed email that lists an astronomer's weapons of choice. With illustrations. 🤣🤣🤣 #WritingCommunity

Re-upping this thread because I've just stumbled on this *amazing* quote on symbolism. 🤣

"Don't turn away from possible futures before you're certain you don't have anything to learn from them." Richard Bach #scifi #writing

“Trans adults made it through adolescence okay without transitioning!”

I met a ladybug on my daily walk. She says hi. 👋🐞 (The ant was too busy to chat.) #NaturePhotography

Pet peeve: when writers get carried away with fancy words (see Faulkner vs Hemingway) they don't quite understand, making the readers stop, google, and keep googling, to get some clarity. Breaks the immersion, that. (E.g., "his skin was the color of freshly squeezed olives. 🤣)

There ought to be a special Pulitzer Prize category for this sort of thing. 🤣💖

🤣🤣🤣 Literally LOLing here, in public.

Me writing the first draft. 😅

if i can be y’all’s dad for a second: one of the most important things I’ve learned is that acquiring a skill is literally uncomfortable that awful moment where you feel confused and stupid and embarrassed? it means you’re about to learn something. and it’s *mandatory* if you want to get better
