Damn it. I keep coming up with funny things to say about the big temper tantrum going on back home but everyone else is thinking the same things.

A client just handed you a fully fleshed out idea for a new app. You have 90 days to launch it. On which day (1 to 90) do you run “laravel new”?

I spaced out staring at my phone while waiting for a tram. When I looked up Milo was gone. He had stepped onto the wrong tram to bang on the driver’s door and tell him that a disabled woman was struggling to get on. When I pointed out that he could have ended up gong the wrong direction, he said

Milo really struggles with maths, so when something suddenly clicks he gets ridiculously excited and wants to show the world. Thankfully our waiter seems happy to get a multiplication lesson from a 9-year-old.

How many boys does your milkshake bring to the yard? #buildinpublic

I love how Claude is all "I did this and that and this and that and now all tests are passing and everything is good" until there's an error and then it's like "The problem is that your code is all wrong. Do you want me to fix it for you?" Listen here, robot. You wrote it. You broke it. Yes fix it!

GitHub's UI is as bad as AWS these days. All I want to do is experiment with the copilot agent, but I can't because I don't have Por+. So I get that. Then I can't enable it on my organization's repo because I don't have Copilot Business. But suddenly I don't have Pro+ anymore.

Milo told one of his Italian friends at school that we were coming here. His friend said “don’t eat the pizza in Napoli or you’ll never be able to enjoy pizza anywhere else again.” I laughed when he said it, but that 9-year-old is a tiny prophet. This stuff is mind-bendingly good and so cheap!

🎉 This is it. Last day! The NativePHP for Mobile Early Access Program closes at midnight GMT If you’ve been thinking “maybe later” — later is NOW ⏱️ Grab it before time runs out 💥 nativephp.com/mobile

My wife and I were on the balcony overlooking the sea, watching Vesuvius get lit up by fireworks, eating late night sushi and reminiscing about our last trip to Italy when our 9-year-old came out in his underpants to tell us about a weird dream and ate all our edamame. Marriage is pure bliss.

Mario Kart was based on a true story.

Someone (not my wife) just reminded me that today is our anniversary (though I actually think it was yesterday). I've spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how many years it's been, and I have it narrowed down to between 10 and 13. I'd ask my wife, but she won't know either.

Just over a week left to get that EAP discount 😬 nativephp.com/mobile

I’ve just figured out that Teddy calls all fruit “anana”. He asked for it. So I took him literally and gave him some pineapple. Not what he wanted. Then I tried a banana (he’s starting to dabble in a bit of English so I thought maybe). Nope. He wanted blueberries. Toddlers are a pain.

English spelling is a guessing game and it’s full of silent letters and exceptions. German is gender confused. If I were granted ultimate global power, we’d all be speaking Spanish tomorrow. And it would be la agua and el mano to eliminate its two mistakes.

Does this count as self-care?

We needed a break from the Eurovision crowd, so we walked over the border into Germany for some half-price beer and potato wedges. What a gorgeous weekend.

Do any of you live in or around Lima, Peru? I’m looking for Laravel developers because I know someone who is moving there and needs a network.

Every once in a while my wife sends me a message that touches something deep in my soul. This was one of those messages.

My ambitious experiment continues. I haven’t found any reason yet why it won’t work. If nothing else comes of it, I will be able to release a package with a bunch of new things that laravel-shift/blueprint can generate or, better yet, just hand them to Jason to bundle into the package.

Following the US Navy's recent plane incidents, I'm honoured to be presenting their new corporate training video...
