There are basically a handful of reasons to OC: -Ease of access on the back country - training -posting up during a community defense event -transport of a gun w/out a case(like used gun from a store) -legal defense if you stretch& your piece is visible. Not to intimidate during an argument.

In all seriousness, I do wonder if I’ve ever seen a combatant exercise as much restraint — in terms of targets and tactics — as Ukraine has in the face of so much aggression and victimization by its opponent. I say this not to cheerlead but out of genuine curiosity, as a scholar of armed conflict.
