All of the talk about "peaceful protest" makes me think of all the times I have been part of a protest where the police cracked someone over the head and then charged that person with assault. They will call you violent. You can't control that or other people.

"To protect and serve" does not state who they protect, or who they serve. Here is a clue: it isn't you.

Our 2016 report, "FEMA Trains Local Police for 'Field Force' Crackdowns" covers America's standardized counter-protest and counter-riot strategies which are instilled by federal trainers - we obtained the full manual. unicornriot.ninja/2016/trumps-...

do headlines the right way i.e. slate in 2020

Every time they say “we can’t afford that,” remember: they could afford armored tanks, a dictators birthday parade, and enough tear gas to choke a city. They just don’t want you fed, safe, or alive.

It’s funny because if you asked “the government has been snatching people off the street, kidnapping them, stalling lawyers who represent them, renditioning them to foreign countries, and generally terrorizing innocent people; what do you do?” The answer would sound like rioting in the streets

The complication with asking major national Dems or past Dem presidents/ candidates to say anything now is that they too actively expanded the reach of ICE + the militarization of law enforcement + endorsed crackdowns on protesters.

Whenever I try and raise awareness of the risk disabled people face when detained by ICE, I’m met with a chorus of voices asking “were they illegal?” Here’s the thing, it doesn’t matter if they’re here legally or not No human being should be made to suffer this way 🧵

ICE causing fires from their own tear gas and flash grenades, don’t get it twisted. They’re the ones causing damages to cities.

Tom Homan says if “anti ICE violence” doesn’t stop, someone will get hurt. People have already been hurt. Some have lost their lives. Many have been disappeared to prisons in other countries or are being detained in atrocious conditions in the US. People have already been hurt. That’s why we rise.

Detainees inside the LA Federal detention center are flashing their lights for protesters.

“The hospital is not to ask me about suicide. Do not ask. Do not ask. How many times do I have to tell the hospital?” Roger Foley is a disabled Canadian who went public with recordings of hospital staff pressuring him to do assisted suicide Now they’re denying him food & water Retaliation is real

these ghormans are clearly out of control

greta thunberg is 22 years old and braver than every single one of the pigs in la rn

The administration has declared war on certain parts of the country directly and they are also intent in murdering their supporters in rural towns. That's what's happening. THAT is the story but there is no mainstream press to cover it. Instead we get stories about college kids being too censorious.

Let's speak plainly: The violent theatre of the ICE raids - with federal agents masked to hide their identities as they train lethal weapons on U.S. citizens & immigrants alike - & the stated plan to dispatch National Guard to Los Angeles all speak of a regime thirsty for blood.

the issue is not just ICE. we can live free and safe. or we can have police like we have right now. we cannot do both

Be on the side of protesters. Period.

I’m going to be building a thread of protest footage and content I can find as the afternoon and evening unfold from LA

#BREAKING 🚨 The Freedom Flotilla Coalition says Israel has boarded its Gaza-bound ship The group its “unarmed civilian crew [was] abducted and life-saving cargo [was] confiscated” Israel’s foreign ministry has released video showing the crew being given sandwiches by the Navy

there are only two things that make us cities unsafe and difficult to live in: 1) cars; and 2) cops both of which are structural pathologies forced upon cosmopolitan civilization by encircling enclaves of suburban barbarians

You focus must be on the state. The state is the instigator of all violence.

"it's not peaceful for people to be on the highway" -LA Mayor Karen Bass right now. This is what I mean when I say the word "peaceful" as applied to protesters is about prescribing placidity, not nonviolence. Calmly marching on a freeway is pretty inarguably nonviolent. " Peaceful" you can debate

Update from Freedom Flotilla Coalition Press Officer, Hay Sha Wiya: "The Madleen is currently under assault in international waters. Quadcopters are surrounding the ship, spraying it with a white paint-like substance. Communications are jammed, and disturbing sounds are being played over the radio."

1 in 12 Americans live in California. 1 in 35 Americans live in LA County. LA is America

So when Ice retreats here, nobody cares, but when Ice retreats from a few homies near Home Depot in your country, the Army is called up?! -PM Tuxley II

Regular liberal people must come to understand that there is no way you can appease Nazis and especially that there is no way that you can shrink yourself so they won't hurt you. Their main goal is to hurt you.

I'll say it over and over again; you can't build the mass deportation machine without first building the police state machine.

The illegitimate, lawless, and authoritarian regime in control of the government of the United States is at war with the people of the United States.

Last night ICE hit Chinatown. They pepper bombed civilians while the country was watching LAPD fire rubber bullets and tear gas downtown.

These brave civilians stood up for their fellow humans. They said “No” to the Gestapo. An entire community banded together to fight back. And ICE rammed the crowd. They escalated. They chose even more violence. ICE is the problem. Not migrants. My god.
